The purpose of the St. Bartholomew’s Rosary is to help and preserve in memory certain important or secret events in the history of our reserve, to give back and praise God for them, to know all about them today.
How does one pray the Rosary of St Bartholomew?
There are twenty mysteries in the Rosary of St Bartholomew, divided into the five JOYFUL MYSTERIES, the five LUMINOUS MYSTERIES, the five PAINFUL MYSTERIES and the five GLORIOUS MYSTERIES.
As suggested by the Pope (See: What is the name of the current Pope in the Vatican) St John Paul the Great, the Joyful Mysteries are said on Mondays and Saturdays, the Luminous on Thursday, the Sorrowful on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the Glorious on Wednesdays and Sundays (with this exception): Christmas Sundays – the Joyful; Lenten Sundays – the Sorrowful).
Then, to continue with the St Bartholomew’s Rosary, make the sign of the cross and say the “Apostles’ Creed”.
Then say the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be in the order given below:
Say the “Our Father” with faith.
Say with Faith the “Hail Mary” three times.
Finally, recite with Faith the “Glory be to the Father”.
Announce the first mystery, then say the “Our Father”.
Say ten “Hail Marys” while meditating on the mystery.
Say “Glory be to the Father”.
I have announced the second mystery; then say the “Our Father”. Repeat 6 and 7 and continue with the Third, Fourth and Fifth Mysteries in the same way.
At the end of this process in the Rosary of St Bartholomew, you can say some of the following prayers, I leave a little video for you to know a little more about this Saint, do not miss it.
Thanks for favours received
These prayers depend on what you need at that time, some grace, courage, for the Church, remember not to follow on foot these prayers you can modify them and adapt them to the needs that you present, if you want another option of prayer you can opt for the prayer to St Raphael Archangel for protection.
Glorious Saint Bartholomew, Jesus called you a man without guile, and you saw in this word a sign that he was the Son of God and King of Israel. Grant us the grace to be innocent and pure like doves. At the same time, give us the gift of faith to see the divine hand in the events of daily life.
May we discern the signs of the times that lead us to Jesus on earth and ultimately to join him forever in heaven. Amen.
Lack of courage
St Catherine also has very good prayers that you will surely like, next if you need courage do not hesitate to turn to St Bartholomew with this prayer is very powerful.
O Jesus, St Bartholomew’s greatest desire was to know the truth. When he was first told about you, his first reaction was, “How can anything good come out of Nazareth?” But as soon as he met you, he wanted to become one of your disciples. You said of him, “Here is a man in whom there is no deception.
I ask You to pray against the deceptions that influence me and the people I know. Help us to experience Your approval when we are honest, give us courage to resist lies as a means of self-protection, and inspire our minds to know the truth when we hear it. St Bartholomew, pray for us. Amen.
Pray for the Church
O holy Apostle, the Church prays for the grace to love what you have believed and to preach what you have taught. Not that the Bride of the Son of God could ever fail in faith or love, but she knows this well, though her head is always in the light and her heart is united to the Bridegroom in the Holy Spirit who sanctifies her. Nevertheless, her various members, the particular Churches of which she is composed, can separate themselves from the centre of her life and wander in darkness.
O You who have chosen our West as the place of Your rest; You whose precious relics Rome glorifies in her possession, restore to Peter (cf. St. Paul and St. Peter) the nations whom You have evangelised; fulfil the hopes which now revive universal unity; secondly, the efforts of the Vicar of the God-Man to gather together under the shepherd’s wing those scattered flocks whose pastures have been dried up by the separation of schism.
May your own Armenia be the first to complete a return that began long ago; may it trust in the Mother Church and no longer follow the sowers of discord. All gathered together, may we together enjoy the treasures of our concordant traditions and go to God, even at the cost of being stripped of all that is so great and yet so simple, which you teach us by your example and your sublime theology.
