Today we know that the novena to Saint Martin Caballero is very powerful, this saint is considered very miraculous as well as Saint Jude Thaddeus, you just have to do it with a lot of faith and good attitude.
What is a novena?
Before getting to know the Novena of Saint Martin Caballero, it is important to know what we mean when we talk about a novena: it is a series of prayers prayed for nine consecutive days, usually as a prayer of petition, but sometimes also as a prayer of thanksgiving. The nine days recall the nine days that the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary spent in prayer between Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday.
Another long and popular novena is the 54-day Rosary Novena, which is actually six consecutive rosary novenas: three in petition and three in thanksgiving. There is also the novena to St Benedict the Abbot, which is very popular these days.
Because novenas are a popular form of prayer, many people are surprised to learn that they had no official status within the Catholic Church until the 19th century.
At that time, indulgences were offered for novenas prayed in preparation for various feasts. But the practice of marking special events with a nine-day period of preparation before or commemoration after the event is quite old.

St Martin de Porres, pray for us.
First day
Saint Martin, ask our Lord and his Blessed Mother to grant us the grace of true humility, so that we may not become proud, but content with the gifts God gives us.
Obtain for us the light of the Holy Spirit, so that we may understand, as You did, that pride is an obstacle to union with God, and that true happiness comes only from doing God’s will. Amen.
Second day
St. Martin, why are our hearts so cold and lacking in love for the Son of God, who made himself small for our salvation? Why are we so slow to love Jesus, who loved us so much that he gave his life for us? Ask God and Our Lady of Sorrows to make us understand that the only way to happiness is to love and serve God with all our heart and soul. Amen.
Third day
Saint Martin, teach us to be generous with the gifts God has given us. Make us sympathetic to those who are suffering and afflicted.
Let us pray to our Saviour and to Our Lady of Mercy (see: What is mercy and how to practice it) that we may always be kind and generous to our fellow men and women.
Fourth day
O St. Martin, we need a strong faith in God and His Holy Church, especially in these days when religion is often considered unimportant. Bring all men to the knowledge and love of the true Church. May they find the way to salvation and happiness. Ask Christ and Our Lady of Good Counsel to make us faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in life and in death. Amen.
Fifth day
St Martin, help us to have great trust in Almighty God. Make us understand that He is a friend who will never abandon us. Protect us from the foolish thought that we will be saved without doing our part, but also from the despair that forgets God’s mercy. Ask Jesus and his Mother to increase faith, hope and charity in our hearts. Amen.
Sixth day
Knight of St. Martin, help us to have great faith in Christ’s promise (see: Prayer of the Blood of Christ for the house where I live): “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Mt 7:7). Make us faithful by attending Holy Mass and by taking time each day for personal prayer to obtain God’s blessing. Ask the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary to intercede for us. Amen.
Seventh day
Saint Martin Knight, from you we learn to be dedicated and selfless. You teach us to avoid idleness and selfishness. Give us something of the spirit of penance that you had, so that we may be constant in the fight against temptation. Ask Jesus Crucified and Mary, Queen of Martyrs, to give us the grace to fight the good fight. Amen.
Eighth day
Saint Martin, you were raised by God to show us the way to our true home. You have given us the good example and encouragement we need.
Now we see from your life that all we have to do to earn the reward of glory is to love and serve the best Masters. May we be humbled so that we too may be exalted to eternal life. Amen.
Ninth Day
Lord Jesus Christ, who inflamed the heart of Saint Martin Caballero with an ardent love for the poor, and who taught him the wisdom of abandoning himself always to the holy will of God, grant that, like him, we may be truly humble of heart and filled with Christ-like charity for the suffering of humanity. Amen.
