Pastors are definitely warriors of God as they have to go through and fight battles for their sheep.

Leading a group of people, no matter how many or how few, the job is the same.

It is not easy to have the responsibility of making sure that everyone knows the right way, guiding them and making sure that they do not stray.

Because all these people are of different ages, have different economic positions, bring different problems or simply have different temperaments, but all of them have different temperaments.

But all of them the pastor has to love as the spiritual child that he is.

That is why it is very difficult for someone who is not called by God to this ministry.

That is why he has to be gentle, kind, gentle in character and so on.

A pastor must have the ability to minister to all these people and lead them in the right way.

And most importantly, without his heart being troubled, but sometimes that happens and then he has to lean on the Word of God to encourage him and not to be discouraged.

God’s Word to encourage him and not to stray from the path because of resentment, fear or reluctance.

FAITH

One of the things I believe all people need to be grounded in is faith, and the pastor is no exception.

And the Bible is full of these verses that will help you build it up and keep it.

But let him ask in faith, without doubting: for he that doubteth is like the waves of the sea, tossed and driven by the wind. James 1:6

Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

-Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? -Jesus answered him. John 11:40

LOVE

The pastor needs extra quotas of love to carry out this beautiful work, a person without love cannot carry out this ministry.

A man without love cannot carry out this ministry.

The second is: “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”. There is no other commandment more important than this one.

Mark 12:31

Finally, live in harmony with one another, sharing your sorrows and joys, practising brotherly love, being compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8

In everything, therefore, do to others as you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

FORGIVENESS

The pastor must teach others to forgive, and he must learn this by forgiving others himself.

A pastor who is slow to forgive cannot carry out his ministry in a healthy way.

Unforgiveness breeds resentment and this is fatal to a man in the pastoral ministry.

He who forgives offence cultivates love; he who insists on offence divides friends. Proverbs 17:9

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ. Ephesians 4:32

Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone has a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord forgave you, so you also forgive one another. Colossians 3:13

REMEMBER THE POOR

This is one of the things the Church should always do to help the poor and needy.

A good shepherd teaches his sheep to do this by example.

Blessed is he that careth for the poor: the Lord shall deliver him in the day of trouble. Psalm 41:1

He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will repay him for his good deeds. Proverbs 19:17

If you give your bread to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, your light will rise in the darkness, and your darkness will be like the noonday. Isaiah 58:10

ETERNAL LIFE

This is the gift of God to those who accept Him as their child, to those who accept His Son Jesus as their Saviour.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to me

is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one. John

10: 28-30

And after you have suffered a little while, God himself, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will restore you and give you new life.

And God himself, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will restore you and make you strong and firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

have eternal life. John 3:16 (NKJV)

JOY

This should be one of the characteristics of all Christians, joy has nothing to do with emotions.

The joy of the Lord comes from within you and is expressed in your face and in your bones.

No matter what situation you are in, joy should be your watchword.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks to God in every situation, for this is His will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

For the Lord your God is in your midst as a victorious warrior.
He will delight in you with joy, he will renew you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, persevere in prayer. Romans 12:12
