Let’s find out how many books are in the Latin American Bible
The Biblia Latinoamericana, more commonly known as the Biblia Latinoamérica, is a Catholic version of the Bible in Spanish.
It was produced in Chile by a team led by the clergymen Bernardo Hurault and Ramón Ricciardi.
The work began in Chile in 1960. The translation is said to be from ancient Hebrew and Koine Greek.
In it, Hurault mentions some of the sermons that took place in the church he led, and it was published in 1972.
In the years that followed, revisions were made to bring out new editions that corrected the biblical text.
Many Catholics do not recognise it as a Catholic document and there have been some denials.
But we must objectively point out that this Bible has had several revisions.
Especially in 1975, 1995 and 2005, and although it is true that there may be some differences due to translation.
And as for some of the notes, they have nothing to do with faith.
But although many articles do not support this Bible, the decision is up to you.
I advise you to read as much as you can about it and make your decision in prayer, led by God.
We will now study the canon according to which it is composed, so that you will know how many books the Latin American Bible has.
The Catholic Bible has 73 books, unlike the Protestant or so-called Christian Bible, which has only 66.
You can also enrich your reading by going to this link to see how many books each part of the Protestant Bible has.
The books found in the Catholic Bible are called Apocrypha.
The word Apocrypha has a hidden meaning.
Although the Israelites always respected these books, they could never accept them as part of the original Word of God written in Hebrew.
Although the early Church had its discussions about these books, few of the Christians of that time believed that they were part of the Scriptures.
There are many errors and contradictions in these books, and they are more than proven.
The New Testament, although it contains hundreds of quotations from the Old Testament, never mentions any apocryphal books.
For this and many other reasons, the early Church never accepted them, and they are still rejected by the Protestant Church today.
But today we will give you a list of all the books that are included in this version of the Catholic Bible.
And we will leave you to draw your own conclusions.
THE LATIN AMERICAN BIBLE IS ALSO DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS

In this way we can understand how many books the Latin American Bible has, and there are 73.
The translation uses a considerable number of letters for the absolute content of the New Testament.
And a third of the Old Testament.
The rest of the Old Testament text remains in smaller print.
References to the Old Testament in the New Testament are in italics.
In the Latin American Bible, the book of Ecclesiastes is called Sirach.
Similarly, the epistles of the apostle Paul and the rest of the epistles are quoted as letters.
On the other hand, the order in which the books of the New Testament are listed is the same as in the Catholic Church.
As for the Old Testament, there is a variation because the Latin American Bible has taken over that of the Hebrew Bible.
This is the Torah or Nevi’im (Prophets).
And the Ketuvim or (writings).
But there are still exceptions to the order of the Hebrew Bible:
The arrangement of the books of Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Chronicles and Maccabees within the Nevi’im, like the structure of the Greek Bible.
The arrangement of the apocryphal books of Judith, Tobit, Wisdom, Baruch and Sirach within the Ketuvim, according to the more ancient sapiential documents.
The text of the Psalms dominates the last place in the Old Testament.
THE NEW TESTAMENT OF THE LATIN AMERICAN BIBLE

In it, the distribution is exactly the same as in the canon of the Catholic Bible.
This part differs from the Protestant Bible in that it includes the Acts of the Apostles among the Gospels.
However, it is up to you as a Catholic to accept or reject this much-criticised version of the Bible.
There are doubts that it is a version of the original manuscripts,
rather it was just another literary work that they produced.
But it is up to you to decide, at least now you know how many books the Latin American Bible has.
And then you can go on to compare it with the other versions that exist.
