There are times when things don’t go as planned, especially when it comes to love. Some people invoke the prayer to Saint Marcos de Leon of Thought and Mastery to put the wind in their sails.

He is best known as the author of the Gospel of Mark in the New Testament.
When Jesus died on the cross, Mark was still a child.
The story goes that when Jesus was arrested on the Mount of Olives, a young boy followed them.
It is believed that the hiding boy was none other than Mark.
It is also believed that Jesus was a good friend of Mark’s parents.
Therefore he was familiar with their teachings from a very young age.
As an adult, Mark went on a journey with his cousin Barnabas and Paul, taking the Gospel to all the cities they visited.
After this journey he spent more than ten years in the service of Peter.
He was his interpreter and on many occasions also his counsellor.
Mark is associated with the lion, because at that time the lion was considered the king of the desert.
And in his Gospel he speaks of John the Baptist as “a voice crying in the wilderness”.
A voice like that of a lion.
Like the lion, Mark went through the wilderness proclaiming the Gospel.
In his book, Mark conveyed the most essential facts that Jesus preached.
That is why this gospel is one of the shortest.
His narrative is so natural that it seems as if he was an eyewitness.
St Mark as Bishop of Alexandria
According to historians, St Mark was appointed Bishop of Alexandria.
It was in this city that he performed many miracles, for which he was accused of being a sorcerer by the enemies of the Christian religion.
Unfortunately, Mark was imprisoned and tortured to death.
The remains of St Mark are kept in the basilica named after him in Venice, Italy.
It is there that parishioners come to pray to St Mark of Leon the Pansy.
The feast of St Mark of Leon is celebrated every year on 25 April.

Ritual for the prayer
This prayer should be said in your room,
You can improvise a small altar with the holy card of Saint Mark.
If you have a photo of your loved one, you can place it on the altar.
But don’t worry if you don’t have it, it’s no obstacle to your petition being granted.
Light incense for the duration of your prayer to San Marcos de León del pensamiento.
When you have finished your prayer, you can let the incense burn out if you wish.
But you must light a candle and say three Our Fathers and two Hail Marys.

Final recommendation
There is a saying that all is fair in love and war.
And I will not be the one to condemn those who resort to this kind of prayer.
What I can suggest, however, is that they seek God’s help.
The Word of God says in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ.
