The fear of all parents is that their children will get into serious trouble when they grow up. Let us learn to pray for our wayward children so that they may find their way home.

Adolescence is an age that many parents dread because it is the time when children begin to define themselves as people.
It is very difficult for them because they have a lot of mixed feelings and little maturity to sort things out.
That’s why this stage of human life is so difficult.
From then on, young people become rebellious, but it is in response to the same situation.
And some completely lose control of their actions.
At this age they are very impressionable and easily influenced by friends or bad company.
If it is in their interest, of course.
They are open to any possibility that will make them feel better.

Why has my son gone astray?
Sometimes it is nobody’s fault if a child is rebellious.
The bad thing is that parents often forget what it is like to be that age.
And we don’t give them the importance they deserve in trying to solve their problems.
A very common cause is a lack of communication.
The stress of our day often limits our communication with our children.
And this is a big mistake, because all parents should know what is going on with their children.
If we don’t have a constant line of communication with them, who else can tell us what they’re feeling?
It’s no secret that young people can always find someone on the street to listen to them.
And the worst thing is not just that, but that they find someone to talk to.
The streets (colleges, schools, sports fields, shopping centres, etc.) are full of predators.
These are people who can spot a potential victim a mile away.
Not only do they know what they need, but they know they can give it to them.
So it’s not enough to pray for wayward children, you have to act.
It is good to be concerned, but also to act!
Don’t wait until your child is in serious trouble.
There are those who say that we should discipline the child in order not to punish the parent.
The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 that we should train up a child in his word, for when he is old he will not depart from his way.
This means that we should teach our children all the values of the family.
But we should also teach them the Word of God.
It is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness and in love. 2 Timothy 3:16.
God’s Word says that the family is our first ministry.
He gave it to us not only to love, but also to protect and care for.

So we urge you to seek God’s face to help your child who is in trouble.
In case you don’t know, there is no prayer more powerful than a mother’s prayer for her child.
And what you can’t get on your feet, you can get on your knees.
The solution is 50 centimetres off the ground!
Give your child all the attention you can.
Give him your love and trust, but above all seek God’s help.
His Word says that we can do all things through Christ, for he strengthens us. Philippians 4:13
Prayer for wayward children
We must admit that dealing with teenagers is hard work.
Even more so if they are our own children, or nephews and nieces, or someone we love.
So we need to go to the Lord’s feet and accept that we cannot do it on our own.
There is no set prayer to ask for help for a child.
You just need to open your heart to God and tell Him what is going on in your life.
He already knows, because He has known you and your child long before you were born.
He is just waiting for the moment when you ask Him so that He can get to work.
